Agents required to provide census data?

I’ve been contacted through email & phone by the Census people to answer questions about several listings.  It seemed kind of odd at the time…  like a shortcut or maybe an aggressive tactic to get information.

I’m pleased to discover that real estate Brokers & Agents are NOT required to respond to the U.S. Census Bureau regarding the occupants.  The National Association of Realtors provides a full explanation & advice for handling these inquiries.  You can also contact William Gilmartin at 202-383-1102.
